About the data
What is IPO GMP?
GMP (grey market premium) is the unofficial premium at which an IPO's shares trade in the over-the-counter grey market before they are listed on the exchange. A GMP of ₹40 on a ₹300 issue suggests traders expect listing near ₹340, but it is an unregulated, sentiment-driven quote — not a guarantee.
How is the expected listing price calculated?
Expected listing price = issue cap price + current GMP. The percentage shown next to GMP is the premium over the cap price.
How often is the data updated?
Every two hours on trading days — at 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM, 5 PM, 7 PM and 9 PM IST, plus a final sync at 10 PM IST. Pages are pre-built after each sync; the timestamp at the top of the page shows the last sync.
What do subscription multiples (QIB, NII, Retail) mean?
They show how many times an investor category applied relative to shares reserved for it. QIB = qualified institutional buyers, NII = non-institutional investors (high-net-worth individuals), Retail = applications up to ₹2 lakh. A 103× subscription means demand was 103 times the available shares.
Is this data reliable? Should I invest based on GMP?
Subscription figures come from exchange-published bid data aggregated by public trackers; GMP is an unofficial over-the-counter quote. Neither is investment advice — grey market premiums can swing sharply and disappear. Always verify on BSE/NSE before applying.
